Root canal treatment to remove infection from inside the tooth

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment removes infected nerve and blood vessel tissue from inside the tooth, thoroughly disinfects the canal, and seals it with a specialist filling material to preserve the natural tooth. It is carried out when the pulp (nerve) has been damaged by severe decay or a cracked tooth.

Root Canal + Fiber Post & Crown
When a tooth has been weakened by deep decay or a large old filling and the nerve is infected, we combine root canal treatment with a fiber post, a core build up and a crown. The root canal removes the infection, a fiber post and core rebuild the inner structure, and a custom crown, designed from a digital scan and fitted in about two weeks, protects and restores the tooth so it can function for many years.

Endodontic Retreatment
If a previous root canal treatment has not been successful or infection has returned inside the tooth, retreatment involves removing the existing filling material and redoing the procedure. The aim is to save the natural tooth and avoid extraction wherever possible.
